From the text of the ad we gleaned that not only would helping a company being boycotted worldwide for unfair labor practices be a good thing, but somehow Goldman Sachs and open-mindedness are related. The connection between the massive investment banking and securities firm and minds--wide open--remains elusive, and we've come to realize that the mystery of this ad and ones like it is a small portion of the greater mystery of recruiting and the investment banking or consulting jobs to which they lead...
...massive labor dispute that has crippled France since the country's unionized railroad workers went on strike three weeks ago may be in its endgame. A majority of French railroad workers voted to suspend their strike today, one day after subway and bus drivers in Paris agreed to return to work. Despite recent government concessions that included an agreement to renegotiate the five-year contract with the national railway company, hard-line union negotiators remain unsatisfied. ...Labor peace is sometimes the price of success. Boeing settled its two-month machinists strike late Wednesday night so it could get busy filling the biggest single widebody jet order in history: a $12.7 billion contract to deliver 77 of its 777 jets to Singapore airlines. The two-month walkout had already delayed the delivery of some 30 planes, costing Boeing hundreds...

So far, the Labor Department has launched investigations of 310 companies and recovered $3.5 million of plundered assets. While the probes involve a tiny fraction of the nation's 250,000 401(k) plans, they have revealed a disturbing pattern. "We have been surprised at both the number of complaints and the percentage that have been substantiated," Labor Secretary Robert Reich said last week. Investigators have found merit in 401(k) complaints...
...help stem 401(k) thievery, the Labor Department is backing legislation that will require accountants who uncover fraud in a plan to notify federal authorities immediately. Regulations now allow seven months from the discovery until the time reports are due, by which time a troubled company may have declared bankruptcy. The department is also considering whether to shorten the 90-day grace period that firms have to turn over 401(k) funds to investment managers...
