...current presidential candidates should take some lessons from Mandela on both consistency and idealism. Like most Americans, I am extremely disappointed by our lack of leadership in this country and by the lack of true long-term solutions to the present state of the nation, both domestic and abroad. I imagine it was the belief in his ideals and principles that kept Mandela alive under unspeakable hardship.
