The Crimson lacrosse team, battered and still smarting from four losses in a one-week mid-Atlantic tour, comes up for air against Williams today at 3 p.m. in the home opener.
The Crimson lacrosse team, coming off a sweep of last Saturday's round robin at Harvard, learned the Mid-Atlantic brand of lacrosse the hard way, running a gauntlet of Rutgers, Navy, Franklin & Marshall and Adelphi.
In the round robin, the stickmen trimmed the Boston Lacrosse Club 6-4 and Wesleyan 9-4; and dissuaded Tufts from any further competition after building an insurmountable second-quarter lead. Harvard won 10-0 as Tufts declined to play the last two periods.
Despite an encouraging performance against a veteran star-studded New England Lacrosse Club, the Crimson ten fares the storm next week in a southerly jaunt which will pit it against two of the best squads in the country.
The round robin on Saturday will pit Harvard with the Boston Lacrosse Club, Wesleyan, and Tufts, all on the Business School Field.
