The cruisers were the Atlanta, Juneau, Northampton. The destroyers were the Cushing, Preston, Benham, Walke, Monssen, Laffey, Barton. Most interesting news was the inclusion of the Atlanta and Juneau-fast, light anti-aircraft vessels bristling with 16-five-inch guns.
