...There have been a lot of changes in blood testing, and technology has moved on," says John Scurr, a consultant vascular surgeon at London's Middlesex Hospital, who will coordinate the research. In a previous study, results of which are soon to be published in the medical journal the Lancet, Scurr conducted research he says "showed that some people develop clots after flying" but didn't pinpoint the reason.
