...Julian Langson Lathrop '18, of New Hope, Pa., one of the members of the University who left for the front shortly after the mid-year examinations, has been killed while on ambulance duty in France. Lathrop was on field duty at the time, transporting wounded soldiers from the front under heavy fire. Merrill Stanton Gaunt, a member of the Divinity School, who was killed in service a short time ago, and Walter Heber Wheeler, Jr., '18, now serving at the front in the ambulance corps, were members of the same unit as Lathrop.
