...scenery for the play is of a very unusual character. Special attention has been given to the reproducing of local color and atmosphere. The sunwashed fronts of the houses, the multi-colored awnings, everything combines to convey an impression of languor and drowsiness which is essentially Spanish. The keynote of the play is struck by the admirable choice of colors, pinks and yellows predominating.
