With the score 6 to 1 in the eighth inning, Harvard began a rally. Hicks led off with a single to centre, and was followed by Leonard's hit. Harvey got to first on Eaton's error and filled the bases. Lanigan then came to bat and lined out a clean single, and with a wild throw by Mitchell to third, Harvard scored three runs. Aronson struck out, Currier hit to Brady, who threw Lanigan out at the plate, and Simons fouled. Glaze struck out Hall and Kemble went out on a grounder. Pounds, batting for Hicks, ended the game...
