Captain E. A. Teschner '17 lost the pole on the toss and slipped in starting, but in spite of this handicap almost beat Doyle of Holy Cross to the corner. For the rest of the first lap Teschner ran close behind his man, forging ahead on the back lap of the second and giving over to W. H. Meanix '19 a lead of three yards.
