...afternoon the Weld crew was defeated by Worcester High School in a mile and one-half race on Lake Quinsigamond by three lengths. Although the Weld crew was much heavier and stronger than Worcester, it did not have the ability to sprint and rowed a slow stroke. In the last half of the course Worcester crew away without much effort rowing about 38 to the minute. Worcester's time was 8 minutes, 27 seconds...
