...very well known that there are different methods of pronouncing Latin employed in the university by both instructors and students. In the case of the latter it is readily explained by the fact that the men come from various preparatory schools; but for instructors the authorities ought to establish a uniform manner of pronouncing the Latin, and insist upon strict conformance thereto.
