That the nation will find the Cosmopolitan an adequate successor to the late White House spokesman is some-what questionable. Morgan Banks. Both Guaranty Trust and National Bank of Commerce have connections with the House of Morgan, with the Morgan influence especially strong in Guaranty Trust. It was the late great Morgan Partner Henry P. Davison, who, in 1909, began Guaranty's period of swift expansion. Thomas W. Lamont and George Whitney are present Guaranty Morganites.
