...defense, keeps his feet well and follows his interference. He is also a very reliable punter. Morse and Roome are both fast half-backs. Morse is a hard line plunger, and Roome is especially useful in helping along the runner. Levine and Flinn are powerful fullbacks, but the latter's defensive game is rather weak. Hutchinson and Jones both use good generalship and get the plays off fast. Jones is best on running back punts and in dodging through a broken field...
...boat ahead. Brattle street, in the meanwhile, was making desperate efforts to overtake Waverley and might have succeeded, had not the Holworthy-Stoughton crew, which was rowing a much slower and steadier stroke, caught up and made its bump not two hundred yards from the finish. The latter crew proved to be one of the best on the river and would probably have bumped the Brattle street boat much sooner but for an accident to the stroke's slide at the start...

Brill added a yard and, on a divided play without interference, Foster gained four more. Pennsylvania was twice penalized for offside play and three...
Sheble kicked off to Hurley, who received the ball on the 5-yard line and ran back around right end 37 yards. Aided by an offside play Harvard carried the ball to the 52-yard line. Lockwood went through centre for seven yards with Squires back, and the latter added five more. On a split play Hurley gained four yards and Squires followed with an equal distance through Hobson. Harvard then lost 15 yards for Brill's holding and on a fake formation with Burr back, Hurley was thrown by Folwell for a two-yard loss. He fumbled when tackled...
