After the preliminary session which consisted of defensive work against the second team, the first team lined up against the Freshman eleven for a 25-minute scrimmage. The latter was given the ball on the University team's 25-yard line. When the University team had rushed the ball down to the 1-yard line and were about to score, the whole Freshman squad was put in against it, and the ball was lost on downs.
