The victory was due, in the main, to superior batting by the Freshmen, who found Tisdale for eight hits, in spite of the latter's exceptional performance of 17 strike-outs. Leighton pitched for the Freshmen, and disposed of nine of the Milton batters who faced him, maintaining a steady average throughout the game.
