Earlier this week, University Health Services (UHS) released the results of a survey on sexual assault on campus. Although the survey results released so far show much lower incidence of rape than a 1988 national survey of rape on college campuses, we should wait to laud Harvard until the most recent national figures, gathered by the American College Health Association, are available in two weeks. ...there has been a commendable news drought during this presidential election and I laud the media for their conscientious neglect of issues concerning the private lives of Vice President Al Gore '69 and Texas Gov. George W. Bush. First-years were quick to laud Harvard's handling of the plaster disaster. Perhaps they were still awed by the grandeur of first impressions.
