...Washington, and Begin will probably arrive the week after that. Washington wags were already debating whether Begin would get the same treatment, including a Camp David weekend, as Sadat. Joked one Jewish community leader: "We clocked Carter when he went to meet Sadat on the White House lawn. He'd better not walk any slower toward Begin...

Jimmy Carter popped into the 2 ½-hour session for only five minutes. As he spoke, a helicopter settled on the South Lawn of the White House to whisk him and Rosalynn to Camp David for the week end; parts of his remarks were drowned out by the roar of the rotors. He urged the businessmen to support the Panama Canal treaty. Commented Eastern Air Lines Chairman Frank Borman, who would have hoped for more forthright pronouncements on energy: 'Tm all for the treaty." White House encounter sessions may be important in establishing communication between the Administration and business...

There Jimmy Carter rushed to embrace him. In a brief statement, Sadat quickly disclosed his main concern, warning firmly against any "rigidity" or "fanaticism" that might interrupt "the holy march on the road to peace." He urged that the U.S. become "the arbiter...

LIKE SHERMAN IN GEORGIA, the trend in watery luxuries for the home--water beds, Water Pics, and vibrating shower heads--marches relentlessly back to the sea. Gone are the days when a lawn sprinkler and a fish bowl sufficed to adequately furnish a home with aquatic appliances. In recent months advertisements for a $1200 bathtub have been catching the eye of readers of national magazines. California--birthplace of car customizing, the Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, and Jerry Brown--now offers what may prove to be the new wave of America's vassergeist: California Hot Tubbing...
