Blair Bell, of Liverpool, seems, on the basis of the meager information at hand, to be the most promising of all recent " cures" that have been suggested (TIME, May 19). Dr. Bell's specific is a solution of colloidal lead (a colloid is a gluelike, noncrystalline organic substance that will not pass through a membrane), which appears to have a marked effect on malignant growths like cancer.
