...month ago I was mugged, brutally beaten and robbed by Negroes in New York City. I must say that this experience and some of the appalling statistics that leak out from time to time have opened my eyes. I now have a little more appreciation of the problems in the South. Certainly with equal rights go equal responsibilities? I'd like to see the N.A.A.C.P. do a little more to face up to this problem...
