...Norman, Okla., law office, attorney Steven Presson stores two unusual keepsakes. One is a leather pouch that holds the ashes of Sean Sellers, the only person executed for a crime committed as a 16-year-old since the death penalty was reinstated in the U.S. in 1976. Sellers--who murdered his mother, his stepfather and a store clerk--was dispatched by lethal injection in 1999, when he was 29. Presson's other memento is a plastic box containing the ashes of Scott Hain, who, it now seems fair to say, was the last juvenile offender to be executed...

Those pampered few then get to wait in an opulent lounge that has overstuffed Italian-leather chairs, a linen-tablecloth restaurant, a cigar area with a selection of 15 high-end whiskeys, offices and luxurious bathrooms. Just before departure, flyers are whisked to their plane in a Mercedes or Porsche. Lufthansa is planning a similar terminal for Munich and perhaps other airports. --By Sally B. Donnelly

Cigar Masters is by far the most luxurious of Boston’s cigar bars. It has the finest cushy leather couches, vintage liquors, and, of course, cigars to be had this far north of Cuba. Highly recommended by Hans Rickneit of Leavitt and Pierce, as well as Cigar Afficionato, this is the best smoke in town for a young beginning smoker. Although this establishment does feature a physical bar, the real scene can be found in the back lounge. The lights are warm and low, and the dark wood paneling evokes an Old World ambiance. Choose from a wide...
