Lieutenant Edward Hooper Gardiner '19, of Boston, was killed in action September 12, in the St. Mihiel offensive. He had been previously reported missing from the 50th Air Squadron, Air Service, A. E. F., but official notice of his death has just been received by his parents. Lieutenant Gardiner left College in 1916 and trained at Plattsburg, where he was commissioned in 1917.
