Against the less seasoned players of M.I.T., Harvard pushed over three touch downs and made a conversion, winning 11-0. The "three-quarters" or backs were spectacular. Ted Frembgen put Harvard into the lead in the second half, and Langy Kavaliku, Harvard's outstanding player, followed with two thirty yard touchdown runs, one on a pass from Hal Churchill. Graham Russell kicked the conversion. Getting excellent play from its relatively inexperienced forwards, Hank Keohane in particular, the Crimson edged Amherst in the final round, 3-0. Once away from the Trasks and Alma, however, the "East of Eden" world is one of two-dimensional people and scenes. Actually, there is less use of folksy humor and other side show effects than there might have been. Elia Kazan's handling of the anti-German feeling during World I seemed very fine indeed, and the movie is worth seeing just to watch its town parade of victory girls, the Kaiser in a noose, and Important Citizens...
