...little, too late, and by the time Faught unpacked his rifle, Cornell had the game locked up. There were some highlights, of course--Egasti continued his brilliant play, winning the face-offs and engineering some key fastbreaks; middie Peter Predun and defender Haywood Miller maintained their consistently strong level of play; and Chris "The Beast" Doherty brought the rain-reduced crowd to its feet when he single-handedly took on the Cornell defense to fire up the Harvard squad...

Because every element of this production sizzles, from maestro/pianist Dan Ullman's orchestra to Phyllis Zinicola's tasteful, evocative costumes, individual details are harder to cite than they would be in a lesser show: What is outstanding in a production in which everything stands out? When someone asks why disparities persist in the handling of Harvard and Radcliffe financial aid programs, administrators' fingers all seem to point to a different level of the hierarchy. The Student Employment Office is responsible for the day-to-day management of the work-study program, but University Hall and Radcliffe administrators have input into policy decisions, and the Office of Fiscal Services fills out the applications for grants. The Financial Aid Office determines a student's need for both employment and loans, and a separate loan office gets into the act with the NDSL program...
