...Redmond campus, but that's likely to be delayed until all the logistics can be ironed out. And boy, are there ever logistics -- how many people to admit and the thorny issue of ordering everyone out when Gates starts talking about company secrets. As Rule complains, "any level-headed person in the DOJ should see the need to protect confidentiality." Given that Jackson ruled that Microsoft should let the public in "to the extent space is reasonably available," perhaps Gates should think about holding his deposition in a closet...

Chirac argued forcefully that Mladic and Karadzic must be brought to justice. High-level French sources deny that the two Presidents explicitly discussed the idea of assassinating the two Bosnian Serbs, but they admit the possibility was seriously examined by French and American intelligence services. Indeed, according to a senior NATO military officer, undercover French troops literally had Mladic and Karadzic in their crosshairs on several occasions but did not fire because there was never an official green light...

...result was unlike anything she had ever sang before. Quantity came before quality, and even though it gave her a chance to, for lack of a better phrase, "rock out" unlike she ever had before, it still short-changed the fans who wanted to experience a new and deeper level of Amos' songs. In addition, the poor newcomers who didn't know any of the words to her songs certainly didn't hear them that night...
