Died. Joseph M. (for Maurice) Weber, 74, the short, barrel-bellied butt of the old Weber & Fields knockabout comedy team; in Los Angeles. For more than half a century gangling, goat-bearded Lew Fields shook and belabored goat-bearded little Joe Weber for his ignorance and insults, joined him in mangling the English language ("I am delightfullness to meet you"), shared with him the glory and profits of being the most popular low-comedy team in theater history.
