...Author. André Maurois (Emile Herzog) was brought up to be manager of his family textile mills at Elbeauf, France, an uncongenial job from which the War rescued him. Since he spoke English Maurois was made liaison officer to the Ninth Scottish Division, then to British G. H. Q.
