...Lane, University librarian, recently received a letter from an Austrian army officer now held as a prisoner of war at Scutama near Vladivostok, requesting the University library to lend him during the time of the war the following works in the German language: "Ramisches Recht," "Pandelsten," "Kirchemrecht," and "Geschichte des Deutschen Rechtes." Prompt and safe return of the books is promised as soon as the war is over.
