Lovewater meets the lawyer Smith who takes the possession of the cigarette case as proof that the fortune which he has to bestow should go to Lovewater. The latter, now refunded, takes the same ship with the Lifters and Wigglesworth to Japan. Owing to various complications Wigglesworth is arrested by the Marquis Hari Kari, after the party has arrived in Japan, but the timely arrival of lawyer Smith, who has discovered his mistake, and the identification of Wigglesworth as an American millionaire, bring about the extrication of Wigglesworth...
