The sprinters, quarter-milers, hurdlers, and broad jumpers, have taken short runs and practiced starting on the board track behind the Gymnasium, the half-milers have run slowly for a short distance, and the long distance squad has held runs of about two miles. The pole-vaulters and high-jumpers have practiced twice a week in the Gymnasium, and the shot-putters every day. The work of all the squads will continue to be light until J. G. Captains have been appointed for the various squads which will meet in the Gymnasium every afternoon.
