Secret practice was held by the University football squad yesterday for nearly an hour in preparation for the Annapolis game tomorrow. There was no scrimmage, but only light work. The backfield candidates were first taken out onto the Freshman gridiron and given practice in catching punts with the sun in their eyes and against a clear sky. Coach Daly instructed the backs in heeling fair catches facing the sun and with the opposing team running down on them. The results were very satisfactory. ...special cars last evening at 7.15, cheered by a body of over 200 undergraduates. They took the Federal Express for Baltimore at the Back Bay station and are due to arrive at their destination this morning at 8.41. The day will be spent at the Baltimore Country Club, where light practice will be held this afternoon. After the game tomorrow the team will return to the Hotel Belvidere, Baltimore, and will attend the theatre in the evening.
