Football practice began on September 10, the work at first being very light on account of the warm weather and consisting of passing and punting. The squad now numbers 47 men, and during the past week the candidates have been very thoroughly drilled in all departments of the game. The men have shown considerable speed and understanding of the new rules, and there has been a noticeable improvement not only in the usual line plays, but also in the new forward pass and onside punt to which particular attention has been given.
