It is harder for new plays and unknown companies to "break the ice; even "Mary Rose" was not over-whelmingly popular. It will be interesting to see the reception accorded "Liliom" or, when it comes, "The Circle". Perhaps after all it would be easier to devote all the larger theaters to the showing of moving pictures; certainly they are the only unqualified success at present...
