...University football squad was given a long secret practice yesterday, and the men were kept on the field until darkness revented further work. Captain Burr was in football clothes, and ran several times around the field. He will probably not line up in signal practice for a couple of days, but will continue exercise to get back into good condition. ...Freshmen received the kick-off and by straight rushes placed the ball on the Sophomores' 5-yard line. The Sophomores got the ball on downs, but soon lost it by a fumble, and the Freshmen recovered it on their 30-yard line. A successful forward pass and several line plunges soon resulted and Pierce was pushed over for a touchdown. Smith failed to kick the goal. The Freshmen received the ball on the next kick-off and after several line plunges and a 30-yard run by Campbell, Pierce made the second touchdown. Smith was unable to kick the goal...

When Harvard appeared on the field in the second half, Withington had replaced Dunlap at left guard. Tobin kicked off to Browne, who ran the ball back sixteen yards to the 18-yard line. Corbett and White tried the right side of the line for nine yards. Pishon received Cutler's kick and was downed by withington in the middle of the field.
