Church drove across the line 30 seconds after the whistle for the first score on the second half. Humphrey brought the score to 40-0 by kicking the goal from the touchdown. After the kick-off Bates lost the ball to the University on downs. Three rushes carried the ball to the Bates 20 yard line. Hamilton then tried for a field goal, without success.
