...Both Linscott, in the Crimson box, and Hadley, the Brown pitching ace, seemed to completely bewilder their opposing batsmen. Each nine got a quota of three hits and it was only by collecting their safeties in the same period, coupled with Hadley's triple, that gave the visitors their margin of victory...

Barbee apparently has not been worked overtime because of the lack of pitching material. In Linscott, Cozzens, and Cutts, Coach Davidson has three men who have shown themselves reliable in the pinches. Cozzens won his only start, that against Hotchkiss, by an overwhelming score. Linscott has held every team against which he has been entered, and Cutts, although he has not seen service in a regular game, has proved his worth in practice games against the Seconds. It is probable that at least one of these men will be sent in this afternoon unless the contest is unusually close...

...line-up will be practically the same as that which has started the majority of the recent games. Linscott, who has been considered too good a player not to use when not pitching was used first in right field and later to second base where he has apparently earned a permanent position. Heard, who started the season at second and was one of the best hitters in early games, was forced to give up his place due to an injury to his leg but will probably be back in the line-up within the next few games...

...game against Pomfret, which the Purple won, 15-7. O'Connell or Murphy will probably occupy the mound. Against them, Coach Davison has decided to start his regular line-up. Barbee is reported to have recovered entirely from his injury sustained in the Exeter game last week, but Linscott will probably be called upon to do the hurling. HARVARD HOLY CROSS Zarakov 3b. 2b.
