Numerous state supreme courts have upheld the constitutionality of their state's statutes against interracial marriages. In 1944 a Federal Circuit Court upheld Oklahoma's racial marriage laws. Since that time, however, two important decisions have challenged anti-miscegenation laws. In Perez v.
