...that of her paternal grandfather, an army general. Her father's regime was a strict one (the family had to sing Gregorian chants on Sundays). Royal was sent to a Catholic boarding school and the University of Nancy before attaining the classical educational polish of the French political élite: a degree from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris ("Sciences Po") and another from the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ena), where her class included the current Prime Minister, Dominique de Villepin, and her partner, Hollande. They met there in 1978 and had their first child...
...same time, says Baldo, "you feel that China wants to be seen in a positive light. They play a very delicate balancing act." Jiang Wenran, Director of the China Institute at the University of Alberta, Canada, says Sudan is the focus of debate amongst China's foreign-policy élite. Progressives argue that Beijing should cut its ties with Khartoum, both because it's the right thing to do and because China's oil interests in Sudan are not worth the cost of the country being labeled a genocide abetter. "I believe God wants to give us nice things." If nothing else, Meyer and other new-breed preachers broach a neglected topic that should really be a staple of Sunday messages: Does God want you to be rich...
Your report was well intended, but by making the Ivy League schools your focus, you perpetuated the idea of these schools as the nation's élite, most desirable campuses.
