Every dormitory will be canvassed today in the semi-annual collection of old text-books for the benefit of the Phillips Brooks House loan library. Students are requested to look over their libraries and lay aside for the collection any books for which they will have no further need. It is desired especially to obtain books which are used in History 1, Economics A, Government 1, English A, and other large courses, though any books which would be of use to college men will be welcome. Tomorrow the text-book loan library of Phillips Brooks House will make a collection of old books, to be used by students who cannot afford to buy all the volumes they need. There is hardly a man in the University who has not some books which in days past have caused him trouble, but which might well do some other man good. ...shelves of the loan library are located on the top floor of Phillips Brooks House. It is used by nearly 300 students every year; books are loaned at 10 cents per year, 5 cents of which is refunded upon return of the book. At present the library totals well over 3,000 volumes.
