In the West Bank, where Palestinians made a commitment to peaceful coexistence, Israel has removed checkpoints, increased trade and invested in local businesses. That promising message of hope carried us to Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories of the West Bank. There we found much the opposite of what we encountered in Northern Ireland.
