Secret football practice yesterday afternoon was rather light, as but six of the men who played in Saturday's game Fraser, Parker, Kennard, Lincoln, Lockwood, and Peirce--were on the field. In a 15-minute period of scrimmage the first eleven scored one touchdown on the second team after gaining 23 yards on an onside kick which carried the ball to the 10-yard line. The work of the players on the first team was good at times, and they followed the ball extremely well. Warren broke through the line once or twice in time to prevent forward passes. Hall...

...weight and strength were of great advantage in the line. Fraser, who replaced him at centre in the second half, played a hard game. Wendell and Lincoln were the best men in rushing the ball, and also were very strong in the secondary defense, but in rushing the ball, Lockwood seemed unable to take advantage of his own speed. In the backfield Starr and Newhall handled the numerous punts from Mount Pleasant almost perfectly, and often got away from the fast Carlisle ends for gains of from five to 15 yards...

...intensely interesting due to Carlisle's two attempts for goals from the field and to Mount Pleasant's punts, one of which went over Harvard's goal line for a touchback. Newhall caught Mount Pleasant's kick off on the 20-yard line and ran back 13 yards. Lockwood lost eight yards in the first rush, and Burr punted, the ball going out of bounds near the middle of the field. After two short rushes Mount Pleasant returned the punt to Starr, who was downed on Harvard's 30-yard line after gaining 10 yards. Both teams were penalized five...

...football practice yesterday afternoon, which was entirely secret, the men who played in the Brown game last Saturday were worked very lightly, Lockwood and Wendell being given a day's rest. The University team substitutes and the second team had a 20-minute scrimmage in which the first eleven scored two touchdowns. The first was made by straight rushing, the second on a fumble by Graydon on Hall's attempted drop kick for the first team, Nourse falling on the ball over the line. Starr kicked both the goals from touchdowns. White was tried at right halfback in the scrimmage...
