Yesterday the three crews took an easy row at a low stroke down stream to Longwood bridge. By rowing a lower stroke this week the men have made a good deal of progress in controlling their slides, and as a result the boat is much steadier than previously. At this low pace, however, the men apparently lack vigor, especially Crandall at 2, who fails to break in his arms early enough in the stroke. Wood at bow swings badly out of time...
...Monday the crew went over the 1 and 7-8 miles course down stream from the Longwood bridge to the Union Boat Club, rowing the rest of the way to and from the University boat house in short stretches. The men pulled hard, but at times the shell rocked considerably. Tuesday afternoon rough water allowed the men to row down stream only to a point 1-8 of a mile below the Harvard bridge and back to the boathouse, and on Wednesday a similar course was taken. On account of the strong wind Thursday afternoon, the crew rowed up stream...

After rowing from the University boat-house down stream as far as the Union Boat Club with only one stop of a minute at the Longwood bridge, the crew returned, rowing in long stretches all the way up stream. The men stood the hard work very well and were in excellent condition, when they reached the boathouse. They rowed fairly well, but at times the boat rolled somewhat. Filley put the stroke...
...usual day's row has been downstream into the basin but owing to the strong wind during the last few days, the crews have gone up-stream to the Brighton bridge. In addition to this yesterday they rowed down-stream as far as the Longwood bridge and back. This afternoon all three crews will row at 2 o'clock and will probably be given a short race. The third crew will then disband except for four men who will be retained with the first two crews. The training table will probably be started the last of April with...
Continuing on the course, however, the University crew raced the second from the Longwood bridge to within about 1-8 of a mile of the finish. The second started a length and a half behind the University crew, and caught up with it, but when the University crew raised its stroke, the second began to lose and was almost a length behind when forced to stop by a mishap...
