The other Overseers were elected by the Legislature. Any one who will look over the list of Overseers previous to 1866 will find some names which he would never associate with an institution of learning, - names of men whose opinions as to whether Logic should be substituted in the place of some of the Freshman Mathematics would be of far less value than their surmises...
