With final registration figures completed, the colleges and universities throughout the country show a substantial decrease in the number of students attending due to the influence of war. In the universities, the graduate schools record the greatest losses with the exception of the medical schools which alone have in general shown an increase in enrolment. Many of the western co-educational universities show a nearly normal registration owing to the great increase of women students over last year.
