...Boyce of Brookline High School, who won two firsts and a second. In the hammer throw he broke the record by 5 ft. 8 3-4 in., and equalled C. Brewer's record of 21 ft. 6 in. in the running broad jump. He had hard luck in the low hurdles when he fell about five yards from the finish. He was running very even with Converse and would have won second place easily. H. J. Kane of English High School also did good work in winning the 100 and 220 yards dashes, the latter in the fast time...
