Extreme Dosage. Last week, at a Chicago conference on psychedelic drugs, Dr. Donald R. Jasinski of the National Institute of Mental Health reported that he had produced LSD-like symptoms with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), one of the purified active ingredients in cannabis. The test patient, he said, developed visual hallucinations, distortions of sensory perception, loss of insight, muscle rigidity and muteness.
