Along with Bunks Burditt, shifty Chick Lutz was another big menace to the Dartmouth five. The small forward was popping one hand shot from all positions around the basket, to-talling eleven in all for the evening. His forward partner, Billy Webber, also deserves credit, being, along with Burditt, the busiest and hardest-fighting player on the court...

None of the men played a consistently good brand of ball. Joe Romano was high scorer with 46 points, followed by "Chick" Lutz with 37. Bunks Burditt was hot for a couple of games and colected 21 for the trip...

...most exciting game was the 48 to 44 loss to Bradley Tech, one of the best teams in the country. The Crimson trailed 24 to 19 at the half, but some brilliant sharp shooting by Lutz scored nine quick points to lead a rally which tied the game at 44 to 44 with only two minutes to go. But two last minute field goals by Ramsey and Hansen clinched the game for the westerners...
