...festivities of Junior week began at Cornell yesterday afternoon and evening, with several tea dances, the annual Musical Clubs concert, and the Sophomore Cotillion. Various teas and dances will continue today in the fraternity houses, and a masque performance of "The Amazons" will be given in the Lyceum Theatre tonight. The Junior Promenade will be held in the Armory tomorrow evening at 9 o'clock, and the festivities of the week will close with more teas, and a basket-ball game with Oberlin on Saturday. Forbes-Robertson was born in London on January 16, 1853, and made his debut 21 years later in "Mary Stuart." From 1880-95 he appeared with such artists as the Bancrofts, Madame Modjeska, Irving, Mary Anderson, and Sir John Hare; at the end of that period he opened the Lyceum Theatre, London under his own management. His plays with Henry Irving included "Much Ado About Nothing." "Henry VIII," and "King Arthur."
