Jackson caught the ball on the kickoff. The Freshmen then gradually pushed down the field, mainly through line bucking, and finally Mackay carried the ball over the line. Jackson missed the goal. Soon after the next kick-off Brown gained possession of the ball and carried it to the Freshmen's four yard line but lost it there on downs.
