Harvard completely outplayed its opponents and kept the puck in Yale territory except during a part of the second half, when the Yale team redoubled its efforts. The University players showed exceptional team play, and followed back well, especially Captain Newhall, Town-send, and Macleod. Although the team was at times slow in Corner work, the shooting and passing were excellent. In other points the teams were nearly equal, as the Harvard team had the advantage in weight, but was slightly slower on its skates...
...checking and stick work were remarkable and he carried and lifted the puck well. Pell showed unexpected improvement, and was especially fast on the offense, often carrying the puck the entire length of the rink unaided. Townsend's shooting was excellent, and he did much hard body checking. At left centre Townsend is inclined to play too much by himself, but he follows back better than any of the other forwards. The fastest skater on the team is Macleod who is also the cleverest in the forward line. M. Newhall at left end is slow and does not use the sides to good advantage. His Shooting, however, is accurate. Although handicapped by an injury to his wrist Willetts continues to play his usual strong game at piont, characterized...
