A 6 ft.-6 in., spadebearded member of one of the foremost and oldest Magyar families (founded 1235), he long bickered against Habsburg absolutism, favored broadened suffrage. But in 1922 he declared for Habsburg's Otto as the "uncrowned" king of Hungary...
